I decided to finish this chair once I was over the fact that it’s faking it as a Victorian. Regardless of it’s lack of age, it’s a really beautifully proportioned and comfortable chair. The seat is deep and wide, giving you enough space to curl up in whilst the arms are delicate and softly curved. I’ve sprung the back, the seat features an independent sprung edge and there’s a silver box time capsule. Although I have a feeling the next person to upholster this will be me – so not that much of a surprise.
Yes I know it’s covered in chickens but as chicken fabrics go this is pretty special. Yours for £12.99 from the Curtain Factory Outlet in Finchley.

Yes this is a chair and yes this a room in my house… what a mess
Having trawled the second hand shops of Crouch End, Inca and I found this beauty waiting for us 10 meters from my car.. I’m assuming it was being thrown out. It’s amazing that chairs can get to this state but still have a place in the house. I think a cat might have been using it as a scratching post. It has now joined the upholstery queue.
